Read Summary
“David Bond is concerned. His kids’ waking hours are dominated by a
cacophony of marketing, and a screen dependence threatening to turn
them into glassy-eyed zombies. Like city kids everywhere, they spend
way too much time indoors – not like it was back in his day. He decides
it’s time to get back to nature – literally. In an attempt to compete with the
brands, which take up a third of his daughter’s life, Bond appoints
himself Marketing Director for Nature. Like any self-respecting salesman,
he sets about developing a campaign and a logo. With the help of a
number of bemused professionals, he is soon selling Nature to British
families. His humorous journey unearths some painful truths about modern
family life. His product is free, plentiful and has proven benefits – but is
Nature past its sell-by date?” via IMDB

Synopsis
“The Clean Bin Project is about a regular couple and their quest to answer the question ‘is it possible to live completely waste free?’ Partners Jen and Grant go head to head in a comedic battle to see who can swear off consumerism and produce the least amount of garbage in an entire year. Their light-hearted competition is set against a compelling examination of the sobering problem of waste in our ‘throw-away’ society. Featuring interviews with renowned artist and TED lecturer, Chris Jordan and marine pollution expert, Captain Charles Moore, The Clean Bin Project presents the serious topic of waste reduction with optimism, humour, and inspiration for individual action.” via IMDB

Hearts and Minds Group –  “after-Chasing Ice” gathering

We plan to get together on the Saturday just after “Chasing Ice” to fully process its implications and work through the challenges it poses. This is an important part of the “internal transition” so necessary for the overall transition our society has to go through.

We will meet at the Garrick Theatre from 2 – 4.30 on Saturday 23rd November.
A cuppa will be available
